National Instruments 786377-01 IEC Power Cord
Part number 786377-01 is the Japanese version of the National Instruments IEC Power Cord. This 2.4-meter, 12 A, IEC Power Cord is designed to work at 125 VAC, which is the voltage level used for the transmission of domestic power across Japan. Part number 786377-01 IEC Power Cord comes with a “B” type plug that is widely used in Central America and North America as well. The plug of this cable cannot be removed. You also can’t access the termination point of the cables and the prongs.
This IEC Power Cord has two parallel power pins and a round earth pin. The two power pins are flat; each one has a hole near the tip. These holes work with the retention mechanism incorporated in “B” type sockets to ensure firm connection and prevent unintentional removal of the plug. An Earth prong that is longer than the power prongs ensure grounding of equipment before powering up.
