National Instruments CA-1000 Configurable Signal Conditioning Enclosure

The CA-1000 is a Configurable Signal Conditioning Enclosure developed by National Instruments. The NI CA-1000 is available with part number 777664-01. The CA-1000 is manufactured to enhance user-defined I/O connectivity and versatility. The CA-1000 can hold numerous NI DAQ products like the CB-50LP, SC-204X, SC-207X, SCB-68, and CB-68LPR. These accessories can be mounted by using a hardware panel located on the bottom of the CA-1000 enclosure. It is mandatory to remove an SCB-68 from its original enclosure prior to installing it in the NI CA-1000. The power requirements, current excitation, operating and storage environments are all user defined and depend on the internal accessory of choice.

The NI CA-1000 is capable of providing maximum user connectivity and flexibility options. The CA-1000 is created for use with applications utilizing laptops, desktop, and can be rack-mounted as a portable enclosure. For desktop applications, one CA-1000 can be used or several can be used with the optional stack-mount kit. There is also a 19-inch rack-mount kit available (Part Number: 777665-01) for use with the enclosure. The CA-1000 is equipped with the following hardware:

·         Panelette label sheet

·         Rubber feet kit: 4 rubber feet, four 4-40 panhead shoulder screws with 0.08 in. shoulder length and 0.125 in. thread length

·         Filler panel and standoff kit: four black blank filler panels, 2 silver 68-pin filler panels, ten 4-40 x 3/16 in. black flathead screws, and four 4-40 x ½ in. female to female nylon standoffs.

This Configurable Signal Conditioning Enclosure renders compact results with the advantages of flexibility and robust signal interconnection functionalities. The NI CA-1000 can connect/disconnect standard input/output connectors for the integration of various systems. The CA-1000 is available with additional interfacing panelettes. These panelettes contain toggle switches, LEDs, and potentiometers. The panelettes can handle verification of system operations inside the enclosure.

This Configurable Signal Conditioning Enclosure can provide different types of signal connections and connector accessory options. The CA-1000 is designed with five cable connection options. The 68 or 50 pin connectors can be adjusted through a cable for data acquisition devices on the enclosure.

The NI device measures 12.06 x 10.00 x 1.73 in. in physical dimensions.
