National Instruments CSM-200mA Current Shunt Module
The CSM-200mA is a Current Shunt Module (CSM). The manufacturer of the CSM-200mA is National Instruments. The NI CSM-200mA module belongs to the CSM family. The CSM-200mA can be operated with multiple types of accessories like the DAQCard-4050 and a DAQ-Meter. The CSM-200mA module requires a pair of test probes, available in red and black. A flat-head screwdriver, compatible DMM, and a cable are also required to use the module. Third-party DMMs can be used if the DMM can measure DC and AC rms voltage.
The NI CSM-200mA is an important type of current shunt module that is used for measuring current up to 200 mA. The CSM-200mA computes current status, calculating the voltage drop across the precision resistor. The CSM-200mA is equipped with a banana plug, which has 0.75-inch plug-spacing for products such as the NI-4050 Digital Multimeter. The CSM-200mA module can additionally be utilized with the NI PXI/PCI-4060, NI PXI-4070, and NI PCMCIA-4050 digital multimeter. The fuse for this Current Shunt Module has a fuse rating of 500mA/250V with 5 × 20 mm specifications.
This Current Shunt Module has a burden voltage of 325 mV. The NI CSM-200mA has a DC-25 kHz accuracy of ±0.075%. There are two modes for the maximum working voltage regarding the NI CSM-200mA. One is for HI to earth ground mode. In this mode, the maximum working voltage is up to 250 V. The other mode for the maximum working voltage is LO to earth ground. The value of maximum working voltage is identical for LO to earth ground.
