National Instruments 782248-02 Signal Generator Adapter Module for FlexRIO

Part Number 782248-02 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments AT-1120 Signal Generator Adapter Module for FlexRIO. The 782248-02 features 2 analog channels that have a DAC resolution of 14 bits and a sampling rate of 1.25 GS/s. The DC-coupled analog output gives a DC output that can be either single-ended or differential. The impedance in the channel can take values of 50 Ω or 100 Ω. The amplitude of a 50 Ω Load (1KHz sine wave) takes the following values:  2 Vp-p (2.2 Vpp without calibration) on the full-scale range in single-ended mode, and 4 Vp-p (4.4 Vpp without calibration) on the full-scale range in differential mode. On the other hand, the output common mode voltage ranges between  -1.6V to 1.6V Open, -0.8V to 0.8V@50 Ω load. 

The analog channel in the 782248-02 has a rise time and fall time (10% to 90%) of 500 ps and 550 ps respectively (considering a pulse at  0.5 Vp-p S.E.). The bandwidth of the module is 700 MHz while the overshoot is less than 5%  (at 1 Vp-p). On the other hand, the random jitter on the clock pattern is typically less than 5 ps. The analog output on the 782248-02 uses the SMA connector having an output impedance of 50 Ω (single-ended) or 100 Ω (differential). The Io max at 50 Ω load is 44 mA. Similarly, the external clock IN channel also uses the SMA input connector.

The input voltage range in this channel is -10 dBm to 8 dBm while the impedance is 50 Ω, AC Coupled. The frequency is 1.25 GHz (within ±0.1%). Furthermore, the external trigger input channel also uses the SMA connector and supports maximum data rates of 140 Mbps. The input impedance is 100K Ω and the slope is rising edge or falling. Moreover, thenexternal trigger output also uses the same connector and the output level is 3.3V open, (1.65V with 50 Ohm load), while the output impedance is 50 Ω. Note that the device can only be used with a compatible FlexRIO FPGA module.
