The AT-MIO-16 is a Multifunction I/O Board for the PC/AT (Part Number: 320476-01) boasting high-performance and a user-configurable DAQ board (12-bit) to optimize various user operations (test/measurement, laboratory applications, data collection, and data manipulation. National Instruments offers the AT-MIO16 Multifunction I/O Board for the PC/AT in multiple user versions depending on the level of the input signals (low or high).

The AT-MIO16 Multifunction I/O Board for the PC/AT offers 16 single-ended terminals and can be configured to use 8 differential channels. Additional channels may be obtained using extensions. The AT-MIO16 Multifunction I/O Board has the following features: 256-word analog to digital buffer, sampling analog to digital converter (ADC) with a data transfer rate of upwards of 200 ksamples/sec, buffered digital/analog converters, 0.5-100 variable gain setting, an auto-calibrating circuit system, multiple input/output lines for digital applications, 4 triggers, on-board timers, 1/2/4/8 programmable gain settings, and a Real-Time-System-Integration bus interface.

Due to its dual channel DMA and FIFOS, the AT-MIO16 Multifunction I/O Board for the PC/AT maintains high performance despite environmental conditions. For instance, the AT-MIO16 can still be used with Windows environments in which there are long interrupt latencies. With the At-MIO16, users can communicate with Signal Conditionaing eXtensions for Instrumentation system and gather up to 3,000 analog signals from components (thermocouples, RTDs, volt and current sources, and strain gauges. The AT-MIO-16H can offer interfacing facilities to signal state extensions SCXI system modules among other.
