National Instruments AT-MIO-16X Multifunction I/O Board

The AT-MIO-16X (Part Numbers: 776578-11 and 776578-01) is a Multifunction Input/Output Board for the PC AT/EISA by National Instruments. The AT-MIO-16X is available in two versions: one with a 50-pin connector and another with a 68-pin connector. This board is ideal for test and measurement, lab, and data acquisition and control applications. The AT-MIO-16X is used with NI-DAQ driver software to install the product on different platforms. The board can be utilized with application software like LabVIEW and LabWindows.

This Multifunction I/O Board is manufactured with double-buffered, multiplying 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs). These DACs are calibrated for unipolar or bipolar output voltage. The AT-MIO-16X board is built with onboard +10 V as a reference voltage for an internal circuitry reference to the DACs. The FIFO buffer with 2048 words DAC capacity can generate waveforms with no loss at the maximum rate. The DAC FIFO can conduct cyclic waveform generation straight from the FIFO regardless of the PC interface. An analog output circuitry is used in this Multifunction I/O Board for internal time counting and handling external signal update for waveform generation.

The AT-MIO-16X is equipped with the properties of interfacing with the RTSI bus developed by National Instruments. The RTSI bus can be used to communicate among National Instruments AT Series boards for transferring timing signals. This Multifunction I/O Board provides signals to other boards through onboard timers that can handle single and multiple analog-digital-conversions appearing on the AT-MIO-16X. There are 16 input analog channels and 2 output channels available on the board. The maximum sampling rate for the analog input channels is 100 kS/s.
