National Instruments BNC-2140 DSA Signal Conditioning Accessory

Designed to interface with 2 BNC Signal Outputs and 4 BNC Signal Inputs, the NI BNC-2140 is a Dynamic Signal Acquisition (DSA) Signal Conditioning Accessory from National Instruments. The NI BNC-2140 is specially designed for National Instruments dynamic signal acquisition devices. This accessory can interface directly to the National Instruments PCI-4451, PCI-4452, PCI-4551, and PCI-4552. Moreover, it connects to IEPE microphone preamplifiers, accelerometers, and various other sources with < ±42.4 V. Every input channel on this accessory has a dedicated 4 mA current source designed for use with various IEPE sensors.  

The National Instruments BNC-2140 DSA Signal Conditioning Accessory enables you to operate each channel with signal conditioning in either enabled or disabled mode independently. The NI BNC-2140 provides a monitored stream of constant current for the embedded sensors often found in IEPE accelerometer sensors. Thus, you can use inexpensive BNC cables with this accessory.  The analog inputs of this signal conditioning accessory are selectable to operate in either SE or DIFF input modes. You can enable or disable IEPE signal conditioning, regardless of the channel’s input mode. The two analog output channels of this accessory can also be operated in differential (DIFF) or single-ended (SE) mode. The NI BNC-2140 allows manual switching of input and output channels from differential to single-ended mode and vice versa. The BNC-2140 comes equipped with 6 BNC connectors and a 68-pin VHDCI female connector. The connection between the DSA device and the BNC-2140 is maintained through a 68-pin connector.

BNC-2140 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the accessory will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
