National Instruments 779009-01 C Series Digital Module

National Instruments part number 779009-01 is an identifying part number for the NI-9423, a C series Digital Module. This instrument includes an 8-channel Digital Input (Sinking Input), a Digital I/O Logic Level of 24 V, and a 1 µs Maximum Update Rate. It is designed to interface with industrial logic levels and signals, which allows direct connection to various industrial switches, transducers, and devices. 

Each channel supports 24 V logic levels, which can handle up to 30 V discrete logic levels, and includes an LED status indicator. The module provides isolation between the input and output banks and from channel to earth ground. As a correlated digital module, the 779009-01 can perform correlated measurements, triggering, and synchronization when used in a CompactDAQ chassis. This device can be identified by two part numbers. 

Part number 783735-01 features Spring Terminal front connectors, whereas part number 779009-01 comes with Screw Terminal front connectors. The LabVIEW RIO engineering framework on NI Modules includes four essential components to deliver an optimal foundation for innovative designs. These components are a processor, an FPGA that can be programmed by users, modular I/O, and a comprehensive software toolchain for programming each part of the design. 

The NI device also offers a digital I/O to Ch-Earth ground isolation of 20 Vrms. The module includes built-in isolation, signal conditioning, conversion hardware, and direct connectivity to industrial sensors, cameras, actuators, drives, motors, and communication protocols such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and EtherCAT. It consumes up to 290 mW when active and a maximum of 7 mW in sleep mode.
