National Instruments 779699-01 Voltage Input Module

This 16 channel module produces voltage signals for control, measurement, and communication purposes. Each channel of the 779699-01 has it’s own digital-to-analog converter, allowing them to update at a rate of 25 kS/s. In addition, each channel comes equipped with protections against both short circuiting and overvoltage. For the spring-terminal version of the 779699-01, the channels each have a ground connection, and they are connected to a 36-position. For the DSUB version of the module, the connectors are 37-Pin.

The variations of the 779699-01 can be distinguished even further, as the spring terminal connector is available in both a spring terminal and a push-in spring terminal, distinguished by the color of the connectors. The push-in spring terminal connector is identified with an orange and black color scheme, while the other spring terminal has an entirely black connector. When connecting outside devices to any variation of the 779699-01, it is important to first verify that the device is compliant with the specific module’s requirements. 

The overall efficiency and performance of the 779699-01 is enhanced with a default channel state of “off”. With this setting, both startup and power-down voltages are set to 0 V. The output of the module ranges from a minimum value of ±10.35 V to a maximum of ±10.65 V.
