National Instruments 779699-02 Voltage Input Module

Part number 779699-02 from National Instruments is the version of the NI-9264 Voltage Input Module that is conformal coated. This coating is an extra layer of protection for the module against environmental factors such as dust or moisture. Conformal coatings are especially beneficial in industries such as the automotive, military, or industrial sectors. The different types of the 779699-02, with either spring terminal connectors or DSUB connectors, are also available in conformal coated versions. 

The 779699-02 features individual digital-to-analog converters which enable each channel to update at a speed of 25 kS/s. Moreover, overvoltage and short circuit safeguards are included for every channel. The channels on the 779699-02 spring-terminal variant are linked to a 36-position connector and each has a ground connection. The connections on the module are 37-Pin for the DSUB version.

The colors of the connectors allow for an easy way to visually differentiate the spring terminal options of the 779699-02- either a push-in spring terminal or a spring terminal. The spring terminal has a completely black connector, while the push-in spring terminal connector is distinguished by an orange and black connector. It is important to confirm that any external device being connected to any variant of the 779699-02 complies with the specifications of that particular module. 

A default channel state of "off" improves the 779699-02's overall performance and efficiency. The start up and power-down voltages are both set to 0 V with this configuration. The module's output varies between ±10.35 V (min) and ±10.65 V (max).
