National Instruments 780264-01 C Series Strain/Bridge Input Module
The National Instruments 780264-01 C Series Strain/Bridge Input Module is a part of the NI-9237 Model C series. This module is designed to facilitate high-speed and high-quality strain or load measurements with zero interchannel phase delay. Up to four bridge-based sensors can be measured simultaneously using it, which makes it the perfect option for applications that need to acquire accurate data from several sensors at once.
With built-in signal conditioning, the 780264-01 module simplifies the process of powering and measuring bridge-based sensors. Excellent noise rejection and enhanced safety for operators and test systems are guaranteed by its 60 VDC isolation and 1,000 Vrms transient isolation characteristics.
The module has integrated excitation for both half-bridge and full-bridge sensors. Furthermore, it enhances the precision and dependability of strain and bridge measurements by facilitating offset/null, shunt calibration, and remote sense operations.
The 780264-01 can be easily integrated into existing configurations as it offers direct access to most torque or load cells. Minimal tools are required to construct custom cable solutions, which provide flexibility in installation and design.
Because this module works with both the CompactDAQ and CompactRIO platforms, it may be seamlessly integrated—without requiring any modifications—into a variety of data gathering systems. With its FPGA-based processing capabilities, exceptional ruggedness, and open-embedded architecture, CompactRIO provides an adaptable embedded solution. In contrast, CompactDAQ offers a robust and portable data collecting platform with modular I/O for direct sensor and signal interface.
The 780264-01's analog and digital filtering methods effectively reject out-of-band signals while ensuring accurate representation of in-band signals. In order to preserve signal integrity and reduce aliasing effects, key bandwidth parameters like passband, stopband, and anti-imaging bandwidth are meticulously controlled.
