National Instruments 782999-01 Relay Output Module

The C Series Relay Output Module 782999-01, also known as the NI-9482, is a product of National Instruments that may be directly integrated with a range of industrial equipment, such as DC devices, motors, and actuators. Each of its four electromechanical relay channels can switch signals up to 60 VDC (1 A) or 250 Vrms (1.5 A). This module has LEDs that show the state of each channel and offers strong channel-to-channel isolation. With its 10-terminal detachable screw-terminal connector, the 782999-01 allows for flexible wiring arrangements when connecting to loads.

Different loads can be connected to each channel on the 782999-01 by using the interchangeable pins, CHa and CHb. When the chassis goes into sleep mode, the LEDs are disabled, but they do not turn off when the channel is not in use. If the module is inserted into a chassis, the low-power sleep mode lowers heat dissipation and energy consumption.

The 782999-01's output features comprise four electromechanical relay channels that operate on a single pole, single throw. Every channel is not in the power-on condition. A switching voltage of 60 VDC or 250 Vrms is the most that the module can take. It is capable of managing up to 2.5 A at 30 VDC, 1 A at 60 VDC, or 2.5 A at 250 Vrms when only one channel is functioning. When two channels are active, the capacity is 2 A at 30 VDC, 1 A at 60 VDC, or 2 A at 250 Vrms. When all channels are active, the limits are 1.5 A at 30 VDC, 1 A at 60 VDC, or 1.5 A at 250 Vrms. The resistance per channel when on is 0.2 ohms, and the off-state leakage current is 10 microamperes maximum.
