National Instruments NI-9219 C Series Universal Analog Input Module
The National Instruments NI-9219 (Part Numbers: 785994-01, 779781-02, 779781-02, 192496F-01L) is a Universal Analog Input Module intended for multipurpose testing in any NI CompactDAQ or CompactRIO Chassis. The user can move the module from one platform to the other without modification. The multiple variations of the NI 9219 module have many of the same specifications, but part number 779781-02 is conformal coated while part number 785994-01 is not. With the NI-9219, the user can estimate several signals from sensors like strain gages, RTDs, thermocouples, load cells, and other powered sensors. The channels are separately selectable, so the user can complete a different estimation type on every one of the four channels. Estimation ranges contrast for each kind of estimation and incorporate ±60 V maximum for voltage and ±25 mA for current. This module has spring terminal front connectors and 250 Vrms Ch-Ch Isolation. The device has a maximum sample rate of 100 S/s for each of its four channels.
The NI 9219 Universal Module offers measurement-particular signal conditioning that associates with a variety of sensors and signals, isolation options (bank-to-bank, channel-to-channel, and channel-to-earth ground), and - 40 °C to 70 °C temperature range to meet an assortment of utilization and ecological needs. This C Series Universal Analog Input Module can be utilized with the NI-9972 Backshell Connector Kit.
The NI-9219 is run using the NI-DAQmx driver software which must be installed first. After installation of the software, the user needs to install support for their choice Application Development Environment-which could be LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, C/C++, C#, or Visual Basic .NET. The device is equipped with a spring terminal connector.
Four 24-bit analog-to-digital converters on this module sample the four analog input channels at the same time. The NI-9219 allows an excitation current for all input modes that necessitate excitation. The module then reconfigures the signal conditioning for every measurement type. This module’s analog-to-digital converter measures voltage across the HI and LO terminals. The NI-9219 sources a current, which changes depending on the resistance of the load, between the EX+ and EX- terminals. The module computes measured resistance from the ensuing voltage reading.
