National Instruments 777318-100 Analog Input Module 

National Instruments part number 777318-100 is an identifying part number for the cFP-AI-100, an Analog Input Module for Compact FieldPoint. Equipped with 8 channels and featuring 12 bits of resolution, the 777318-100 incorporates over-ranging and onboard diagnostics for smooth installation and maintenance processes. It measures and linearizes signals onboard, providing scaled values to your control or monitoring software. This device is versatile for measuring voltages ranging from millivolts to high-voltage levels up to 120 V, suitable for various applications like fuel-cell testing, battery-pack monitoring, and general transducer measurements. Additionally, the 777318-100 can measure current loops of 0 to 20 or 4 to 20 mA from industrial sensors and transmitters. It conducts signal measurement and linearization onboard, providing scaled values to control or monitoring software. 

Equipped with over-ranging and onboard diagnostics, it ensures straightforward installation and maintenance. Moreover, for reliable and accurate analog measurements, this module includes NIST-traceable calibration certificates. In this module, current flows into the terminal Im, passes through a 100Ω resistor and exits the circuit through the C or COM terminal. Current entering through the Im terminal is read as positive, while current exiting the terminal is read as negative. The model includes an over-ranging feature, enabling it to achieve measurements slightly beyond the nominal values. This Analog Input Module provides 11 input ranges and ensures 250 Vrms CAT II channel-to-ground isolation continuously. 

Additionally, it supports hot swapping of I/O modules with all eight channels sharing one common ground reference. The NI 777318-100features successive approximation 12-bit ADCs (Analog to Digital Converters). It provides a 360 Hz update rate on all channels. The module includes two green LED indicators for power and readiness status and one red indicator as the Out of Range indicator.
