National Instruments 777318-550 Digital I/O Module for Compact FieldPoint
National Instruments part number 777318-550 is an identifying part number for the cFP-DIO-550 a Digital I/O Module for Compact FieldPoint with 8 Input and Output Channels with 30 VDC maximum Input Voltage. This module supports three types of inputs: differential, sourcing, and sinking. The digital logic level range of the DIO module is 11 VDC – 30 VDC. The input current is 7 mA maximum, with an input delay time of 100 µs maximum. Each input channel can be configured to operate in standard or latch mode using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
This module also has eight digital output terminals that support sourcing type only. The supply voltage range for the NI 777318-550 is 10 V to 30 V, and the output voltage depends on the current and impedance. The output channels can safely handle up to 250 mA and have a maximum output impedance of 200 mΩ. The output channels are protected against short circuits. This module features both digital inputs and output terminals, combining the functions of two modules in one device. The output channels are configurable, allowing the 777318-550 to activate output terminals only when a specific combination of input terminals is matched.
The module can interface with sensors and remove noise from the signal. It includes a selectable input filter to reject noise, which the user can enable or disable as needed. The NI 777318-550 module is compatible with the Windows operating system and also supports LabVIEW RT. It requires 600 mW of power. The recommended storage temperature range is 45 to 85 °C. The operating temperature range is –40 to 70 °C at an input voltage of 25 V, and –40 to 50 °C at an input voltage of –40 to 50 °C.
