The National Instruments-designed NI-9853 (Part Numbers: 780923-01, 779429-01, 780178-01, 780708-01, 199016E-02L) is a fast Controller Area Network (CAN) interface designed specifically for use with CompactRIO systems. It allows FPGA applications to be developed using the NI-RIO driver. For byte-level CAN frame manipulation, this interface excels at low-level FPGA-based control and triggering activities that are designed using the LabVIEW FPGA Module.
With its two separate CAN ports, the NI-9853 guarantees isolation between ports and other system modules.
