National Instruments 779747-01 PXI Sound and Vibration Module

The 779747-01 from National Instruments is the descriptive part number for the PXI-4498 PXI Sound and Vibration Module, which is also referred to as the NI 4498. As part of the NI 449x series of modules, the 779747-01 is designed for high-performance and reliable analog input for data acquisition system. Equipped with 16 input channels that are simultaneously sampled, the device makes data acquisition and analysis between multiple channels a breeze. Featuring AC-only input coupling, the module is compatible with an incredibly wide range of signal sources. 

Designed to meet the needs of modern test and measurement applications, the 779747-01 boasts a Delta-sigma ADC that features 24 bits of resolution. The module has a pseudodifferential input configuration with an impedance of 50 Ω between the chassis ground and the negative input. Data transferring and processing with the 779747-01 is incredibly efficient, thanks to a FIFO buffer size of 4,095 samples. 

One of the standout features of the 779747-01 is that it is both incredibly flexible and user-friendly. The sample rates range from 100 S/s to 204.8 kS/s, making it easy for the user to adapt it to fit the specific measurement requirements or signal characteristics of the specific application.

When not including the connectors, the compact 779747-01 measures 16 cm × 10 cm (6.3 in. × 3.9 in.) in dimensions and weighs in at only 326 g (11.5 oz). Optimal functionality is achieved when the module is kept within an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C with a noncondensing relative humidity range of 10% to 90%. When not in use, the module can be safely stored within a wider temperature range of –20 °C to 70 °C with a noncondensing relative humidity range spanning from 5% to 95%.
