National Instruments PXIe-4464 PXI Sound and Vibration Module
The PXIe-4464 (Part Numbers: 783087-02 and 783087-01) Sound and Vibration Module is manufactured by National Instruments. This module delivers simultaneous sampling on all channels. The PXIe‑4464 DSA Device includes built-in antialiasing filters that automatically adapt based on the sampling rate. This module has six input gain ranges, which are selectable through software. The NI PXIe-4464 supports Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) smart sensors to enable error-free setup. The PXIe-4464 has a built-in IEPE excitation circuit, which provides consistent current to maintain data integrity over long sensor cable runs and supports high-power sensors.
The NI PXIe-4464 DSA Device can operate at a maximum sample rate of 204.8 kS/s per channel. It has a 24-bit ADC resolution, providing a high signal-to-noise ratio. The module features an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) per channel, enabling simultaneous sampling at the maximum sample rate across the input range. All channels have selectable digital filters to reject out-of-band noise. The PXIe-4464 supports various trigger configurations for synchronized measurements.
The NI PXIe-4464 module is configured using Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), which detects compatible accessories and terminal blocks connected to the National Instruments PXIe-4464 Sound and Vibration Module. MAX helps inform other programs about connected devices and provides information about their configuration. MAX is automatically installed with the NI-DAQmx driver.
