National Instruments 777518-200 Analog Loop Output Module

Part number 777518-200 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments FP-AO-200 Analog Loop Output Module. 

The 777518-200 features 8 single-ended output channels with a resolution of 12 bits. The current output can be configured for two different ranges: 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA. The output type is a current source and requires an external loop power that can provide a voltage range of 2 to 24 VDC. The internal voltage drop in the module is 3 V. Furthermore, the module provides protection against both open-circuit and short-circuit faults.

The 777518-200 has a maximum conversion rate of 200 updates/s and a slew rate of 0.4 mA/µs. Monotonicity, a characteristic of a DAC where analog output always increases as the value of digital code input increases, is guaranteed over the operating temperature range. Similarly, the device should only be utilized inside, up to a maximum elevation of 2000 meters. There is no isolation between channels and the transient overvoltage is 2,300 Vrms. 

The 777518-200 weighs 140 g and features green POWER and READY indicators as well as 8 open-loop indicators. The POWER LED lights up when the module is inserted into a terminal base or a backplane and power is applied to the connected network module. Similarly, when the network module recognizes the presence of the output module and sends in the initial configuration, the READY indicator lights up. Furthermore, each channel 
has a red, numbered indicator to inform error status. 

The recommended temperature range for the operation of the 777518-200 is –40 to 70 °C  at a relative humidity of up to 10% to 90% RH. Similarly, the device may only be utilized indoors and up to a maximum elevation of 2000 meters (outdoor use requires mounting within a sealed enclosure). On the other hand, it can be stored at –55 to 100 °C. The device satisfies the following safety requirements: EN 61010-1, IEC 61010-1, UL 3121-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1. These standards are for electrical equipment intended for measurement, control, and laboratory usage.
