National Instruments FP-2015 LabVIEW Real-Time Controller Interface
The NI FP-2015 (Part Number: 777517-2015) is a LabVIEW Real-Time Controller Interface designed for intelligent industrial I/O. This model features Ethernet connectivity and can be used as a standalone, real-time embedded controller. The FP-2015 is offered with one serial port, one Ethernet port, 512 MB nonvolatile storage, and 32 MB DRAM memory. With a single FP-2015, the user can manage up to nine FieldPoint bases along with their associated I/O modules.
This controller enables users to create a broad range of measurement and control systems. The National Instruments FP-2015 comes with an integrated Web server that can handle as many as 20 remote panel connections simultaneously. The 512 MB onboard memory of the FP-2015 allows for quick and secure storage of data in any MS-DOS compatible format, such as XML and CSV. Later, users can have their data transferred through the built-in FTP server. This embedded Real-Time Controller can directly connect to Ethernet. This model can auto-negotiate for 100 Mb/s or 10 Mb/s communication rates.
The integrated Ethernet port operates as a robust link for run-time debugging, downloading application code, and transferring indicator and control variable values to a GUI loaded on a compatible, networked PC. The NI FP-2015 works on the FieldPoint framework- a reliable system with remarkable security features. With the advanced security systems in place, clients with valid authorization only can access the Controller. This Controller requires an 11 VDC to 30 VDC power supply for operation. Moreover, it can also be connected to a redundant power supply utilizing an extra set of terminals.
