National Instruments FP-AO-C420 Analog Current Output Module

The FP-AO-C420 is established as an Analog Current Output Module, which can be utilized with terminal blocks. The NI FP-AO-C420 is manufactured with the part number 778070-01. The FP-AO-C420 is created by National Instruments. This Analog Current Output Module is prepared with dual channel capabilities for communication and outputs differential signal. The FP-AO-C420 has an output range from 4 to 20 mA.

The NI FP-AO-C420 module is developed with the output resolution of 12 bits. The FP-AO-C420 is capable of utilizing an internal power supply that can drive the loads up to 500 Ω. This Analog Current Output Module functions with the step response time of 500 μs. The FP-AO-C420 has two channels that allow an individual common reference point for the “a” terminal. The FP-AO-C420 module supports channel-channel applications for isolated communication with one channel from each module. The FP-AO-C420 is used to wire for flowing current beyond the shared “a terminal” and reverse back through the “b terminals.”

This Analog Current Output Module is from the FP-AO Series of modules that can be used with the FP Series terminal blocks. As many as six 2-channel modules can be installed on one FP-TB-10 Terminal Base. The field wiring used in terminal blocks should be in the range of 24 to 12 AWG. The FP-AO-C420 module requires the operating power of 1100 mW. The FP-AO-C420 has a scanning time of about 1.5 ms. The NI FP-AO-C420 can function within an operating temperature range between -40 to 70 °C.
