The National Instruments 785595-01 is an AC-Coupled FlexRIO Digitizer Device and is also known as PCle-5775 module. It offers high-performance solution for various frequency domain applications, such as radar prototyping, communications, and LIDAR. This device features two single-ended simultaneously sampled voltage input channels while utilizing SMA connectors with an input impedance of 50 Ω and AC coupling. This device offers a maximum sample rate of 6.4 GS/s while providing a 6 GHz analog bandwidth with a 12-bit resolution.
This NI 785595-01 device is equipped with a dual-mode sample rate. It offers 3.2 GS/s per channel in dual-channel mode and the peak 6.4 GS/s in single-channel mode. The internal sample clock operates at 3.2 GHz, whereas an external sample clock can range from 2.8 GHz to 3.2 GHz. The ADC12DJ3200 analog-to-digital converter enhances the performance of the 785595-01 module by delivering 12-bit resolution with an input latency of 239 ns. The device's full-scale input range is 1.25 V peak-to-peak at 10 MHz, with an AC gain accuracy of ±0.11 dB and a DC offset of ±2.19 mV.
The reconfigurable FPGA options for this 785595-01 FlexRIO digitizer include KU035, KU040, and KU060 variants. The FPGA options offer different configurations of LUTs (203,128 to 331,680), DSP48 slices (1,700 to 2,760), and embedded block RAM (19 Mb to 38 Mb). The KU060 variant provides the highest capacity. Data transfer capabilities of KU035 variant include DMA, interrupts, and programmed I/O, whereas additional multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs) are only available for KU040 and KU060 FPGA variants.
The 785595-01 digitizer's onboard DRAM consists of 4 GB split into two 2 GB banks that operates at a clock rate of 1064 MHz and has a physical bus width of 32 bits. This configuration supports a maximum theoretical data rate of 17 GB/s. The device interfaces with a PCI Express Gen-3 x8 slot and is compatible with x8 and x16 PCI Express slots. This unit is designed for indoor use at a maximum altitude of 2,000 meters and operates within a temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C. The allowable humidity range for this model is 10% to 90% RH, non-condensing. The NI 785595-01 model weighs only 990 grams (35 oz.).
