National Instruments 777959-01 Image Acquisition Module
The 777959-01 from National Instruments is an IMAQ board for PCI, PXI, and CompactPCI chassis- it is an identifying number of the PCI-1422. It supports a wide range of digital cameras from various manufacturers, allowing for real-time image acquisition. Images can be stored in the module's onboard frame memory or transferred directly to system memory. It can capture up to 16 bits of data at clock frequencies of up to 40 MHz.
The 777959-01 is factory calibrated and simple to configure, allowing for quick installation and immediate picture collecting. It includes NI-IMAQ, National Instruments' full IMAQ driver software, which allows direct control of the 777959-01 and other IMAQ hardware components. Users can launch apps using NI-IMAQ without having to do any low-level programming, considerably easing the setup procedure.
Because of its fast data flow channel, the 777959-01 is perfect for industrial and scientific applications. This stand-alone board has four general-purpose control lines that may be configured to provide accurate timing signals for managing digital camera acquisition, and it supports up to 16 bits of differential video data. It also provides four external input/output (I/O) connections that can be used as high-speed digital I/O lines or as triggers. The 777959-01 can be used in conjunction with the National Instruments data acquisition (DAQ) product line for more sophisticated triggering or additional digital I/O lines.
Aligning various functionalities to a single trigger or timing event can be a typical obstacle when using image acquisition boards. By use of its Real-Time System Integration (RTSI) bus, the 777959-01 resolves this problem. Through the use of a ribbon cable and the National Instruments RTSI bus interface, this bus allows synchronized captures across multiple IMAQ hardware units by rerouting additional timing and trigger signals between the 777959-01 and up to four additional National Instruments DAQ or IMAQ boards inside the computer.
Also included in the 777959-01 is the NI-IMAQ VI Library for G, a set of virtual instruments (VIs) made specifically to work with BridgeVIEW and LabVIEW. With the help of these tools, the module's usability and functionality are improved. They offer interactive graphics, a cutting-edge user interface, and a strong graphical programming language.
