The NI 778200-01 supports up to 4 standard or nonstandard video sources, 4 external digital I/O or trigger lines, and 4 digital outputs for camera control. It is compatible with double-speed progressive scan cameras. This makes it ideal for scientific imaging and machine vision developers who need high-resolution, measurement-quality images from various cameras and sensors. 

It works with RS-170/NTSC, CCIR/PAL, VGA, and progressive scan cameras. The NI 1409 Series is compatible with high-quality monochrome cameras, providing up to 60 dB of dynamic range, equivalent to 10 bits or 1,024 gray scales. It allows acquisition in 8-bit or 10-bit mode at high rates, such as 60 frames per second with double-speed progressive scan cameras. This device operates with the NI-IMAQ driver software, compatible with software packages like Vision Builder for Automated Inspection and the Vision Development Module. This driver also interfaces with programming environments such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio. 

The NI 778200-01 allows users to capture images from variable-scan and line-scan devices with pixel clocks ranging from 2 MHz to 40 MHz. Using the Measurement & Automation Explorer utility included with NI-IMAQ, users can configure both standard and non-standard video capture. The National Instruments PCI-1409 IMAQ Device features 3 onboard DMA controllers for data transfer between the onboard FIFO and the host memory via the PCI bus. This device is compatible with double-speed (60 frames/s) progressive scans and non-interlaced monochrome cameras from manufacturers such as Sony and JAI.
