National Instruments PCI-1411 IMAQ Device
The National Instruments PCI-1411 (Part Number: 777857-01) is a Single-Channel, Monochrome or Color Image Acquisition Device. This device supports various standards including PAL, RS-170, PAL, or CCIR. The integrated, real-time HSL color conversion enables the device for fast color matching. This device supports PAL and NTSC video standards in either S-Video or composite format. The integrated video decoder of the PCI-1411 converts the arriving video signals to RGB data and passes it to the color-space processor for processing. The onboard programmable region of interest (ROI) feature allows the acquisition of partial images.
The NI PCI 1411 IMAQ Device has several conditions for beginning acquisitions: frame/field selection, trigger control, and software control. For frame/field selection, the PCI-1411 can be used in frame mode with an interlaced camera. The PCI-1411 can be programmed to begin an acquisition on any even or odd field. For trigger control, the user can begin an acquisition by enabling the external trigger line, which can begin a video acquisition on a falling or rising edge. Lastly, for software control, the PCI-1411 can be configured to capture a fixed quantity of frames of fields. This option can be used for capturing a sequence of frames or one frame. The device has transfer rates of up to 132 Mbytes per second.
The PCI 1411 National Instruments IMAQ Device accepts analog video from standard monochrome or color cameras and comes with easy-to-use IMAQ driver software. Unlike other Frame Grabbers, this device offers a higher image processing throughput like instant color conversion to HSL. The real-time color conversion feature offered by the NI PCI 1411 is a useful feature, especially for high-speed color matching in scientific or industrial applications.
The IMAQ PCI 1411 features 16 MB of integrated memory, useful for buffering to large size images. The NI PCI-1411 comes equipped with two external BNC connectors (Video 0 and Video 1). These connectors are utilized for the digital I/O line and video source. The Video 0 connector is a single-ended (SE) BNC for CVBS, whereas the Video 1 is a single-ended (SE) S-Video (Y/C).
The NI device weighs 0.3 lb, and measures 4.2 x 6.9 in. in physical dimensions.
