National Instruments 779632-01 PXI Multifunction I/O Module

Part number 779632-01 from National Instruments describes the version of the PXI-6259 Multifunction I/O Module that is compatible with PXIe Hybrid Slots. With 16 differential (or 32 single-ended) analog input channels and 4 analog output channels, the module is equipped for use in a wide variety of testing setups. The 779632-01 features 16 bits of high quality ADC resolution and guarantees no missing codes. Data transfers with the versatile 780691-33 can be accomplished in a couple of different ways. Data can be transferred through a programmed I/O, through interrupts, or through a scatter-gather DMA. 

In addition to analog input and output capabilities, the 779632-01 boasts two general-purpose counters/timers that have a resolution of 32 bits. These support a wide variety of measurements, including edge counting, period, semi-period, pulse, two-edge separation, and edge counting. The FIFO size of each counter/timer is 2 samples. In addition, the 779632-01 operates with two different base clocks- an internal clock with a maximum of 80 MHz and an external clock with a maximum of 20 MHz. 

When it comes to power requirements, the power drawn by the 779632-01 depends upon the voltage used. A voltage of +5 V draws a current of 0.03 A, while a voltage of +3.3 V draws a current of 0.725 A.
