National Instruments PCIe-6259 Multifunction DAQ

The NI PCIe-6259 (Part number: 779513-01, 192242B-01) is an M Series Multifunction DAQ developed by National Instruments for PCI Express. As it is part of DAQmx API, the hardware clocks cannot be directly set. The clock can be set indirectly through the functions. These functions include time base blocks. The NI PCIe-6259 has 32 single-ended analog input channels. They have a resolution range from 1 to 16-bit. The device also has 16 differential analog inputs with the same resolution–with a timing resolution of 50 ns. Each channel can operate at 1.25 MS/s peak sample rate. The DAQ also produces multi-channel samples at the highest speed of 1 MS/s. It has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes, and should be calibrated at least once every 2 years.

The PCIe 6259 National Instruments has four analog output channels. Each channel can perform at 2.86 MS/s/channel. It also can perform at the highest sample rate of 1.25 MS/s with multi-channel operation. The resolution of the analog output channels is also 16-bit. The NI PCIe-6259 has 48 digital inputs and outputs. This model also provides support to 2 quadrature encoder inputs with 32-bit resolution. It is also structured with two 32-bit PWM outputs. These PWM outputs practice a counter time base, which can operate at the rate of 80 MHz. The device is equipped with 2 68-pin VHDCI I/O connectors. It has a frequency generator with 1 channel, and has base clocks of 10 MHz and 100 kHz with an accuracy of 50 ppm.
The National Instruments PCIe-6259 has one analog trigger, which can perform in many modes like analog edge triggering. This model can also operate in analog window triggering mode. This analog trigger is used to execute and discontinue the triggering. It is also used as a reference trigger and a sample clock. It has a resolution of 10-bit with -3 dB bandwidth.
