The PXIe‑8394 (Part Number: 785157-01) is a Bus Extension Module developed by National Instruments. The user will experience a high level of performance with the Gen 3 NI PXIe-8394. This module permits users to generate multi-chassis PXI systems that interface to a PC. This module has a robust design to control a Compact PCI Express chassis from a PC. This module also helps physically separate the measurements from a host PC.
The PXIe 8394 can be utilized to daisy-chain as many as eight PXI chassis to the same PC. It may be a PXI Controller or a PC connected with a device. This module comes with the functionality to connect RAID arrays and allows the user to expand their system with the help of radio instruments.
