National Instruments NB-MIO-16XL Multifunction I/O Board
The NB-MIO-16XL is a multifunction digital, analog, and timing I/O board. The NI NB-MIO-16XL is specially designed for analog input signals at lower levels. The developer of this Multifunction I/O Board is National Instruments. The NB-MIO-16XL board has been assigned unique part numbers for convenient identification based on its conversion speeds and associated gain ranges. The NB-MIO-16XL (18) has a conversion rate of 18 μs and a designated part number of 776259-01. The NB-MIO-16XL (42) has a conversion rate of 42 μs and a part number of 776259-02. The NB-MIO-16XL can also act as an interface for the RTSI bus from National Instruments.
This Multifunction I/O Board offers 16 single or 8 differential input channels. The NB-MIO-16XL comes with 16-bit analog resolution and a successive approximation ADC. The analog input voltage range of the interface is ±12 V. The input bias current is as low as ±25 nA. The device offers multiple software selectable gains of 1, 10, or 100 to 500. The NI NB-MIO-16XL offers two types of data acquisition rates ranging from 22 ksamples/sec to 55 ksamples/sec for both types. There are 2 DAC output channels and 4 timing I/O channels on this board.
The NB-MIO-16XL can be applied in different applications starting from machine automation, monitoring, and controlling levels, as well as instrumentation and electronic testing. The multichannel analog inputs in the National Instruments NB-MIO-16XL make it a great choice for data logging, transient analysis, and chromatography. The 2 analog output channels on the NB-MIO-16XL offer utilization for machines and process control, together with relay switching control applications.
