National Instruments PCI-6562 Digital Waveform Generator
The PCI-6562 (Part Numbers: 778992-01, 778992-02, and 778992-03) is an efficient Digital Waveform Generator from National Instruments. This model can interface with low‑voltage differential signaling (LVDS) digital electronics. It offers LVDS signaling for fast clock rates and low power consumption. The National Instruments PCI-6562 Digital Waveform Generator offers a data rate of 400 Mb/s for double-data-rate (DDR) mode. This model offers both single and double data rate modes. This model can be used for many applications, including aerospace, defense, and security systems. The PCI-6562 also allows users to complete testing for satellite and communication systems.
The NI PCI-6562 has the clock rate of 200 MHZ. This model offers deep onboard memory with options for 2, 16, or 128 Mb/channel memory. This model comes with the National Instruments Digital Waveform Editor feature, which helps the user create waveforms using built-in fill patterns. It also presents waveform editing options, as well as synchronization and Memory Core (SMC) technology. This technology allows the user to share memory for waveforms and user-defined instructions and create mix-signal test systems with digitizers. It also ensures interfacing of high pin digital ICs and electronic devices. The device is equipped with 2 SMB jack and a 12X InfiniBand I/O connector. The PCI-6562 is run using the NI-HSDIO driver software which is compatible with software packages such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Measurement Studio.
The PCI-6562 Digital Waveform Generator has 16 low-voltage, differential signaling channels. These channels offer per-channel direction control in single-data-rate (SDR) mode. There are also three input and output clock terminals, along with an internal or external clock source. Channel-to-channel tilt is available, with the value of ±215 ps to enable generation capabilities. The value for channel-to-channel tilt in acquisition mode is ±330 ps. These values are for clock frequencies at or above 25 MHZ. The NI device weighs 14.5 oz, and measures 4.96 x 13.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C, and a storage temperature range of -20 °C to 70 °C.
