Designed to be used with 4-port Serial Boards by National Instruments, the 182846-01 is a Serial Cable. This cable allows easy conversion of a phone jack connector to a DB-25 male serial connector. The construction of this 1-meter cable includes a 25-Pin, Male DB-25 Back-End Connection and a 10-Pin, Male RJ50 Front-End Connection. The 182846-01 cable is manufactured to support both RS485 and RS232 serial protocols.
You can utilize this cable to control various GPIB devices, such as touchscreens, PLCs, keypads, LCDs, and barcode readers. The 182846-01 cable offers the conversion of only one phone jack. Thus, you will need multiple cables to access multiple phone jacks for a single PCI Serial Interface card. This cable measures 1 meter in length. The 2-meter version is available under the part number 182846-02.
