The NI 185845-01 is designed to support RS485 serial communication. Users can consider this cable for systems where multiple devices with a serial interface are needed to operate in a tandem arrangement. This cable comes with a 68-Pin, Male SCSI connector and eight, 9-Pin, Male DB-9 connectors.
The 68 pins of the SCSI connector on this cable break out into 8 groups; each group contains 9 channels. Thus, each DB-9 connector of this cable provides access to 9 channels of the SCSI connector. The 185845-01 cable is a shielded cable with a total length of 1 meter. Both types of connectors used in this cable are male connectors and can be plugged into relevant female serial interfaces.
