National Instruments 778621-01 Shielded Cable

Part Number 778621-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SH37F-37M Shielded Cable. The 778621-01 is a 37-pin D-SUB cable having a length of 1 m. The shielded cable features a male D-SUB connector on one end and a female D-SUB connector, with the same number of pins, on the other end. The material used in the connector is designed to reduce coupling losses. Another cable similar to the 778621-01 comes with the part number 778621-02 and this cable is 2 m in length. 

The 778621-01 is used for applications that require low noise, high reliability, and high-performance applications. This is necessary in environments with a high presence of electrical noise. Shielded cables ensure reliable performance and help the devices achieve the EMC performance they were designed for. Otherwise, electrical noises can degrade signal quality. 

The 778621-01 works with a variety of 37-pin NI digital I/O devices. It can work with voltages up to 150 VDC/VAC. Likewise, it uses bundled 26 AWG wires, each having a maximum current of 2 A at 85 °C. On the other hand, it can also be used with the CB-37F Connector Block when the connector block is not mounted to a PCI device. The user must not force the cable when inserting it into or removing it from the PCI device or the CB-37F connector block. Before connecting the SH37F-47M cable to the PCI device I/O connector, the PCI device must be installed into the computer.
