National Instruments Type M3 MXIbus Cable
The National Instruments M3 (Part Number: 180761-01) is a 1-meter, MXIbus Cable. This cable is designed for connectivity between multi-mainframes. MXIbus cables are widely used in various control and monitoring applications. With this cable, you will be able to connect a PXI Express Chassis with a host interface card through a PXI Express Remote-Control Module.
The M3 is a copper cable and has Right Angle Point-to-Right Angle Daisy-Chain Connectors. However, optical fiber cables are recommended for applications where electrical isolation is required. This cable is also used as communication medium in MXI-3 kits for CompactPCI or PXI systems.
This Type M3 3 MXIbus Cable fully supports daisy chaining of multiple MXI systems– a feature that can bring great savings. One connector of this cable is a double-ended connector whereas the other connector is a single-ended connector. Thus, you can connector multiple mainframes by using more than one M3 cable.
