National Instruments SH48-48-A Cable
The National Instruments SH48-48-A is a multipurpose Shielded Cable that generally is used to achieve connectivity between SCXI modules and terminal blocks. The NI SH48-48-A is available as a 1 m cable (Part Number: 183229-01), a 2 m cable (Part Number: 183229-02), and a 5 m cable (183229-05). This cable offers low-noise signal transmission– a feature that makes it a viable solution for industrial applications where any kind of interference or lag in signals needs to be avoided. In systems where signals from field instruments are handled, the NI SH48-48-A is used as an intermediate channel between the SCXI-1124 controller module and the terminal block.
The SH48-48-A Cable is a compatible cable for the TBX-1325 Terminal Block from National Instruments. This Terminal Block does not attach directly to the front of a SCXI module, allowing for convenient addition or removal of signals. The Terminal Block is rack-mountable with a high voltage 250 VDC.
The SH48-48-A Cable operates at a resistance of 0.21 Ω/m approximately. This cable is specially designed to carry high current loads. The NI SH48-48-A operates without any substantial voltage drop or cable-related losses when the associated controller is operated in the current mode. However, you might experience some voltage drop across the cable if the associated controller is set to operate in voltage mode.
