National Instruments SHC68-68-RMIO Multifunction Cable
The NI SHC68-68-RMIO (Part Numbers: 189588-01, 189588-02, 189588B-01, and 189588-0R5) is a Multifunction Shielded Cable from National Instruments. It can also be found referred to as the SHC68M-68F-RMIO Cable. This multifunction cable is designed to provide connectivity to a terminal block of various multifunction reconfigurable devices and can be acquired in different lengths. Part number 189588-01 is the version of the cable with a length of 1m, while part number 189588-02 measures 2m. Part number 189588-0R5 is the OEM for Nanonis version of the cable that measures 0.5m. This high-performance cable is specifically designed for the RMIO type connectors found in NI R Series devices. These connectors offer multifunction I/O functionality. The indiviudally shielded bundle arrangement of the cable allows for digital and analog signals to be separated.
In these cables, a dedicated shielded twisted wire pair is utilized for each differential input channel. Analog outputs are also shielded individually. Moreover, a special technique is implemented in the construction of this cable to minimize crosstalk. National Instruments recommends this cable for connectivity to the MIO ports of the devices for the USB R Series, PXI-784xR, PXIe-784xR, PXIe-785xR, PXIe-786xR, or PXI-785xR cards.
