The SHC68-C68-D4 (Part Numbers: 781013-01, 196275-01, 781293-01, 152870-01, 132625-03) is a Digital Cable rated to operate at a maximum resistance of 1 ohm. This cable comes with a pair of male, 68-pin VHDCI connectors – one for back-end and the other for front-end connections. With this cable, you can achieve interconnection between various National Instruments accessories and NI 654x, 655x, 6535/6/7 digital instruments. The NI SHC68-C68-D4 is often used with the SMB-2163 Terminal Block and CB-2162 Connector Block. Moreover, this cable can be used with a broad range of digital modules for FlexRIO, high-speed instruments with serial connectivity, and signal generator modules for FlexRIO. The cable is shielded and doesn’t have twisted pairing.

Since the SHC68-C68-D4 is a flexible cable, it can be used in a variety of custom test fixtures. The gauge of the wire utilized in the construction of this cable is 32 AWG; it can accommodate as many as 40 single-ended I/O channels. The maximum voltage of the cable measures ±30 VDC. The final electrical specification, the channel-to-channel skew, measures 50 ps for both 0.55 m and 1 m cables. For 2 m cables, the skew measures 75 ps.
