National Instruments Type T5 Cable Assembly
The National Instruments T5 (Part Number: 181563-010) is a 37-pin cable assembly. This cable is designed to be used with the NI GPIB-130 Bus Extender. The NI T5 Cable offers indoor connectivity between two separate IEEE 488 bus systems.
This cable assembly has a length of 10 meters with 25 meter and 50-meter variants also available. In any GPIB extension system, the two GPIB-130 extenders are interconnected through a T5 cable. However, for distances beyond 50 meters, you should consider type T2 or type T6 cables because these cables are designed to support link distances from 0 to 300 meters. The National Instruments T5 is designed for data transmission and cannot be used for power transmission.
The GPIB-130 is powered through an external source, such as an interface board or a regulated power supply. The NI T5 is a CL2 rated cable with an outer jacket made from a fire-resistant material.
