National Instruments TRC-8542 Transceiver Cable
The TRC-8542 (Part Numbers: 142689-01L, 154066-02, 783699-02, and 783699-03) is a CAN HS/FD (High-Speed/Flexible Data-Rate) Transceiver Cable from National Instruments. This Transceiver Cable brings great flexibility for the construction of a system where a CAN bus must be connected to the National Instruments PXIe-8510, NI-9860, or an XNET port on a CompactDAQ Controller. This cable comes equipped with an integrated transceiver (NXP TJA1043T). With this cable, you can achieve up to 5 Mbps maximum baud rate. The transceiver incorporated in this cable has -27 to +40 VDC input voltage limits for CAN_H (CAN HIGH) and CAN_L (CAN LOW) bus lines.
The output voltage limit for CAN HIGH and CAN LOW is 5 VDC. This Transceiver Cable does not require an external power source and does not draw power from the CAN bus since it is powered internally by the host. The NI TRC-8542 is intended to be used for measurement CAT I signals only. This Transceiver Cable consumes around 50 mW of maximum power in active mode.
