National Instruments PC-Step-4CX Closed-Loop Stepper Controller
The PC-Step-4CX is a high-performing Closed-Loop Stepper Controller. The NI PC-Step-4CX is a product of National Instruments. The PC-Step-4CX belongs to the family of ValueMotion boards developed by National Instruments. The PC-Step-4CX is installed with the ValueMotion driver software. The NI PC-Step-4CX board can be operated on Windows operating systems. This Stepper Controller is used with application software like LabWindows, LabVIEW, and BridgeVIEW. The PC-Step-4CX is fabricated for use with stepper motors.
The NI PC-Step-4CX is configured for PCs with an ISA slot. The National Instruments PC-Step-4CX is built with fully programmable motion controlling functions. The PC-Step-4CX is equipped to control as many as four individual axes of motors. This Stepper Controller has additional I/O for limit and home switches. In addition, this Closed-Loop Stepper Controller can be used for various other general-purpose functions. The NI PC-Step-4CX is also useful for velocity profiling, event-based motion profiling modes, and point-to-point position.
Since the NI PC-Step-4CX is a Closed-Loop Stepper Board, it can function in open or closed-loop mode. Quadrature encoders are utilized for velocity and position feedback, while step/direction or clockwise/counterclockwise digital outputs are utilized for command. The PC-Step-4CX can support stepper motors for multiple stepping tasks. The stepper frequency of the PC-Step-4CX board is 750, 000 steps/s. The NI PC-Step-4CX board has an 8-bit analog input resolution. This board has a maximum encoder frequency of 1 MHz.
PC-Step-4CX Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
