National Instruments PCMCIA-GPIB GPIB Instrument Control Device

The NI PCMCIA-GPIB is manufactured by National Instruments with multiple part numbers based on the GPIB cable length and the operating system. The PCMCIA-GPIB can be used with NI-488.2 driver software. This device contains a GPIB analyzer for Windows operating systems. The compatible software for this device includes Measurement Studio, LabVIEW, and LabWindows/CVI. The NI PCMCIA-GPIB is compatible with Mac, DOS, and Windows operating systems.
The NI PCMCIA-GPIB is categorized in the family of high-performance IEEE 488 interfaces for computers with PC Card (PCMCIA) slots, which includes notebook computers and laptops. This GPIB Instrument Control Device is an affordable device, which can additionally be utilized with Macintosh PowerBooks and Intel-based PCs. The PCMCIA-GPIB is configured as a plug-and-play device and is compliant with PCMCIA PC Card Standard Version 2.1.
The NI PCMCIA-GPIB provides a 1.3 MB/s data rate with the IEEE 488.1 standard. This device provides 2.2 MB/s data rate with the high-speed standard (HS-488). There is also a 32-byte FIFO available on this device to buffer information sent to or received from the GPIB. This GPIB Instrument Control Device utilizes a TNT family ASIC for maximum performance as an IEEE 488.2 interface. The PCMCIA-GPIB has the sampling rate of 20 MHz. The PCMCIA-GPIB is available with the timestamp resolution of 50 ns.
PCMCIA-GPIB Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but this GPIB Instrument Control Device will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
