The National Instruments 781258-01 is the identifying part number for the version of the PXIe-5673E PXI Vector Signal Generator that features a single input channel and is equipped with 64 MB of memory. This generator is not one single device, but instead three distinct NI modules that are connected together. These modules include an RF Signal Downconverter (the PXIe-5601), a PXI IF Digitizer (the PXIe-5622), and a PXI RF Analog Signal Generator (the PXIe-5650).
The 64 MB of memory utilized by the 781258-01 is determined by the version of the PXIe-5622 Digitizer that is used- specifically part number 780412-01. 256 MB of memory can be found with part number 781258-02, which is the identifying number for the version of the PXIe-5673E equipped with part number 780412-02 of the PXI IF Digitizer.
In order to successfully operate the 781258-01, a PXIe chassis is required to house the individual modules, in addition to an MXI controller or a PXIe embedded controller. Additionally, this front panel has a total of 6 LED indicators that provide quick visual insight into different statuses of the device. Each of the three modules that make up the 781258-01 feature two LEDs: ACTIVE and ACCESS. The ACTIVE LED uses different colored lights to indicate the state of the individual module itself, while the ACCESS LED displays information about the basic hardware.
Designed for indoor use only, the signal generator works best within an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C. The environment in which the module is operated should have a noncondensing relative humidity range from 10% to 90%.
