PXIe-5601 RF Signal Downconverter, PXIe-5622 IF Digitizer, and PXIe-5652 RF Analog Signal Generator combine to form National Instruments' advanced PXIe-5663E 6.6 GHz Vector Signal Analyzer. Remarkably, it is an integrated set of these modules intended to provide high-performance signal analysis capabilities rather than a single physical device.

This analyzer has an amazing tuning resolution of 533 nHz and runs across a broad frequency range of 10 MHz to 6.6 GHz. Depending on the frequency range, it provides fully adjustable resolution bandwidth from less than 1 Hz to 10 MHz and enables equalized bandwidths ranging from 10 MHz to 50 MHz. The 10 MHz internal frequency reference ensures accurate readings with an aging rate of ±5 × 10⁻⁶ per year and temperature stability of ±1 × 10⁻⁶.

Spectral purity-wise, the 781259-01 has a typical phase noise of -105 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz. Its RF input attenuation may be adjusted in 1 dB steps from 0 dB to 50 dB, and its amplitude range covers the average noise level up to +30 dBm. When attenuation is turned on, the PXIe-5601 module, which facilitates the RF input, can safely manage a constant RF power level of +30 dBm using a SMA female connector with a 50 Ω impedance.

The 781259-01 exhibits an excellent dynamic range, offering nominal performance with third-order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) over a wide range of frequency bands. It may be stored in temperatures between -40 °C and 71 °C and performs effectively in the ambient temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C. Its design emphasizes durability and dependability.
