National Instruments PXI-5695 PXI RF Attenuator

The National Instruments PXI-5695 (Part Number: 781036-01) is a 70 dB, 8 GHz, 2-Channel, Programmable PXI RF Attenuator with one programmable attenuation path and one fixed attenuation path. While operating in combined path configuration, the NI PXI-5695 can provide up to 70 dB of net attenuation at 2.5 GHz when cascaded. With this module, the user can improve their RF signal generator`s power accuracy, especially in lower power ranges. This external Attenuator gives the user the attenuation of the signal to the required output power level. In typical operating conditions, the channel 1 (CH 1) of the PXI-5695 offers +0.5 dB attenuation resolution, ±0.7 dB level calibration accuracy, +4 μs attenuation settling time, +27 dBm (5 Vrms, 7 Vpk maximum input power (operation), and +26 dBm maximum reverse power.

Each of the PXI-5695 channel input/output connectors are SMA female and designed to operate at 50 Ω impedance. This 263 g PXI RF Attenuator is a One Slot, 3U, PXI module, with dimensions of 21.6 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm. The National Instruments PXI-5695 allows the user to program the gain value on channel 1 (CH 1), while the gain on channel 0 (CH 0) operates at a fixed gain. This module consumes 2.2 watts of maximum power while operating at +3.3 Vdc.

The NI PXI-5695 is designed to operate within a frequency range of 50 MHz to 8.0 GHz. The front panel on the module features input and output connectors for both Channel 0 & Channel 1.
