Astronics PXIe-6943 Digital Test Instrument

The Astronics PXIe-6943 (part number: 785855-01) is a compact Digital Test Instrument designed for compatibility with National Instruments PXIe modules. Equipped with 32 digital I/O channels, this instrument is ideal for applications around creating digital test stations for industries including semiconductors, aircraft, medical equipment, and more. Designed to operate at data rates of up to 50 MHz, the instrument features configurable slew rates, <3 ns channel-to-channel skew, and a 1 ns edge placement. 

With an I/O data rate of up to 50 MHz, the PXIe-6943 Instrument offers a solid foundation for an entire digital solution. The device supports digital subsystems that consist of switching and analog instrumentation, in addition to an RF subsystem. The PXIe-6943 is able to be mixed with additional PXI modules without any restrictions- providing additional capabilities to meet diverse user needs. For added convenience, these modules can be pre-integrated at the subsystem level.

The 32 I/O channels of the PXIe-6943 are all variable voltage types, and they have a typical output drive current of ±50 mA. For both input and output, the maximum data rate of the channels is 50 MHz. The channels have a Samtec connector type, located on the front panel of the device. 

The Master Clock of the device has an internal oscillator that has an accuracy of 50 ppm and a rating of 500 MHz. The internal synthesizer of the Master Clock has the same accuracy of 50 ppm, and operates within a range of 40 kHz to 500 MHz. On the front panel of the instrument, the external reference displays a range of 5 to 80 MHz.

Designed for use within a wide range of environmental conditions, the PXIe-6943 has an operating temperature range of 0° C to 45° C and a storage temperature range of -40° C to 70° C. This single slot, PXIe module measures dimensions of 3.8” H x 6.5” W x 0.8” D (100 mm x 160 mm x 20 mm).
