The PXIe-6594 is a PXI High-Speed Serial Instrument from National Instruments with 8 Digital I/O Channels. The NI PXIe-6594 features an integrated FPGA for the implementation and processing of numerous intensive serial protocols. This Serial Instrument is designed to support maximum transfer rates up to 28 Gbps, and it has a powerful Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale+ FPGA. This instrument is designed for PXI Express and requires 1 PXIe slot, allowing it to be used in a variety of compatible PXI Express Chassis.
The NI PXIe-6594 comes equipped with a CLK OUT connector and a CLK IN connector. This High-Speed Serial Instrument allows the user to employ the full advantages of PXI triggering and clocking. Moreover, you can enjoy high-speed data transfer facilities as well as the ability to induce peer-to-peer streaming and streaming from and to disk. The NI PXIe-6594 is fully compatible with LabVIEW FPGA, which means that the integrated FPGA can be easily configured through software. In this way, the user can reconfigure the High-Speed Serial Instrument for different tasks at different times. The 8 transmit (Tx) and 8 receive (Rx) lines incorporated in this instrument also operate through the multi-gigabit FPGA transceivers. The NI PXIe-6594 is one of the most user friendly instruments available for testing serial devices through PXI systems, making it an excellent choice for applications including the simulation of a variety of modern high-speed serial interfaces.
