The National Instruments PXIe-7902 (Part Number: 784232-01) is a 24-Channel, 12.5 Gbps High-Speed Serial Instrument. This model is an ideal solution for professionals who require high-performance FPGA capabilities or who need to interface through, validate, and test serial protocols. The NI PXIe-7902 comes equipped with a Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA to work with numerous high-speed serial protocols. This field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is fully compatible and programmable with the LabVIEW FPGA Module- a combination that allows maximum customization and reuse. This model operates with an edge as it takes advantage of FPGA multigigabit transceivers to supply 24 TX and RX serial lanes.
The PXIe-7902 comes equipped with six Mini-SAS HD (x4) connectors and has 24 multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs). The front panel I/O of this module supports AC coupling and has a 100 nF coupling connector. The NI PXIe-7902 comes with a front panel CLK IN connector. The connector type is SMA, supports AC coupling, and can work over a broad input frequency range from 10 MHz to 300 MHz.
The Reconfigurable FPGA incorporated in this High-Speed Serial Instrument offers 303,600 LUTs, 607,200 Flips-flops, 2,800 DSP48 slices, and 37,080 Kbits of Embedded block RAM. For data transfer, the PXIe-7902 has 32 interrupt channels (numbered 0-31) and supports programmed I/O DMA and interrupts mode. This Serial Instrument comes equipped with 1 x 2 GB onboard DRAM that is designed to offer 10.5 GB/s maximum data rate (theoretical). The NI PXIe-7902 weighs around 350 g and consumes 38.25 Watts of power (maximum).
