National Instruments 778572-35 PXI Matrix Switch Module

The National Instruments part number 778572-35 is the identifying part number for the PXI-2535 PXI Matrix Switch Module. This module has been built with configurable methods that enables the module to connect and switch signals, such as the 1-wire 4 × 136 matrix. This module supports maximum switching voltage of ±12 VDC, 8 VAC channel to ground and it has maximum switching power of 1.2 W per channel, with a DC isolation resistance of >1 GΩ, typical at 23 degrees Celsius and >334 MΩ, typical at 55 degrees Celsius between open terminals.

The input source trigger signals of the 778572-35 module can be routed to trigger lines 0 through 7 with a minimum pulse width of 70 ns. These trigger lines in a module are used for system synchronization and system coordination when connected with other modules while the destination output trigger signals can be routed to trigger lines 0 through 7 with a pulse width of 1 μs to 62 μs. To power the module, 1.7 W of power is required at 3.3 V and 1.3 W at 12 V. The 778572-35 PXI Matrix Switch Module is equipped with FET (field-effect transistor) that has typical operate time of 12 µs and a maximum of 16 µs with a maximum scan rate of 50,000 cross points/s and an unlimited expected relay life.

The PXI module is designed as a single-slot 3U (3 unit) module compatible with PXI (PCI extensions for Instrumentation) or cPCI (CompactPCI) systems. Its physical dimensions are 21.6 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm (8.5 × 0.8 × 5.1 in.) and weighs 159 g (5.6 oz).

To operate this module it is recommended by the manufacturer to use it in an environment with an ambient temperature between 0   to 55 degrees Celsius and can also be stored in an environment with a temperature of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity rating ranges from 5% to 85%, noncondensing. With a Pollution degree level of 2, the 778572-35is suitable for environments with low to moderate levels of contamination. This module is designed for indoor use only and can be mounted at height of 2000 meters.
