National Instruments 777696-01 GBIB Multiplexer Switch Module 

National Instruments part number 777696-01 is an identifying part number for the PXI-2501, a FET PXI Multiplexer Module with a 48 Channels that supports 1, 2 or 4 wire configuration. This PXI switch module can be configured as either a multiplexer or a matrix switch using various terminal block accessories. It is particularly well-suited for applications requiring high-speed scanning of low-voltage signals due to its use of FET switches with minimal settling times. 

Additionally, the NI 777696-01 features a 1,024-step scan list for deterministic scanning. With the 777696-01, users can achieve a maximum scan rate of 15,000 channels per second. This module comes with a 68-pin male SCSI connector for handling I/O connections. Its compact design measures 21.6 cm x 2.0 cm x 13.0 cm and weighs approximately 6.1 ounces. In terms of trigger characteristics, the 777696-01 can handle 70 ns PXI trigger lines and 500 ns front panel trigger lines. The module is capable of generating output triggers through <0...7> PXI trigger lines and the front panel, with a pulse width of 1 μs. 

Under typical conditions, the four-wire mode of the 777696-01 is used for resistance measurements. Additionally, the device can be configured as a 2-wire, 6 by 4 crosspoint matrix. The 777696-01switch card is offered in a default two-wire configuration mode. In this mode, the CHx+ and COMx+ channels, as well as the CHx– and COMx– channels, are switched together for the corresponding bank. However, the user can also operate this module in one-wire, three-wire, and four-wire configurations.
