National Instruments 777697-01 Multiplexer Switch Module 

National Instruments part number 777697-01 is an identifying part number for the PXI-2503, a PXI Multiplexer Switch Module with 10 MHz Bandwidth, a maximum switching current of 1A per channel, and up to 48 channels. This model comes with the Windows-based NI-SWITCH software, allowing you to configure and operate your 777697-01. Users can set up the switch module as a 48 x 1, 1-wire multiplexer for multiple measurements at a common reference. 

Additionally, this electromechanical switch can function as a 12 x 1, 4-wire multiplexer for resistive measurements like RTDs or thermistors. The module has a 10 MHz switch bandwidth. Users can also configure this card as a 6 by 4, 2-wire matrix using a National Instruments TB-2606 terminal block. The NI 777697-01 also supports a 4-wire analog bus. Users can connect the 4-wire analog bus to the switch through the main connector on the front panel, which has a 68-pin male SCSI I/O connector. Using an analog bus allows the creation of large systems with redundant switch cards. The advanced scanner trigger and external trigger input enable this device to handshake with external instruments or PXI instruments. 

This module offers the option of 24 channels and features a hybrid connector. This model uses electromechanical relays for precise measurements. It supports deterministic scanning with a 1,024-step scan list. The NI 777697-01 includes a 14 by-1, 2-wire multiplexer in PXI format. The device weighs 8 oz and measures 8.5 x 0.8 x 5.1 inches. It requires 370 mA typically and 700 mA maximum at +5 VDC. The relay operation time is 3 ms typically and 5 ms maximum at 20 °C. The device has an expected mechanical life of 50 million cycles and an electrical life of 200,000 cycles.
